- Dave's constituency office has been flooded with thousands of responses to his consultation on the safety of open level crossings. 21 of the 23 open crossings in Scotland are in the Highlands. Dec 09

- Dave went on a fact finding trip to the Highland Rheumatology Unit at Ross Memorial Hospital in Dingwall - where he saw how valuable the service is to patients from across the north of Scotland. Nov 09

- A former Trading Standards Director, Dave was elected as the new Vice President of the Trading Standards Institute (TSI), a UK-wide consumer protection agency. Nov 09
- Peace torch welcomed to Parliament
- The torch of the World March for Peace and Non-violence was welcomed by Bruce Crawford MSP, Aileen Campbell MSP, Bill Kidd MSP, and Dave during its 66 day journey from New Zealand to Argentina. Nov 09
- Home Heat Helpline
- Dave at the Home Heat Helpline launch in Parliament, urging everyone to get in touch for useful energy advice. Nov 09
- Puffin Pool
- Dave was able to visit this charity-funded facility next door to the Dingwall Rheumatology Unit which offers medical staff the opportunity to deliver hydrotherapy treatments for adult and child patients in a relaxed and friendly centre. Nov 09

- Scottish Bible Society Bicentenary Reception
- The Scottish Bible Society marked its 200th anniversary this year. On September 23rd, Dave hosted them in the Scottish Parliament to celebrate the anniversary. Prior to the event, Dave also led a member's debate in the Chamber of the Parliament on the history and work of the SBS over its 200 year lifetime.
- Recovery Walk
- Dave took part in a Recovery Walk on September 26th, organised by Members of the Recovery Community in the Highlands who have come together to offer support during recovery from addictions, working closely with local treatment services to support their clients during, after and even before treatment.
- Political Art Show
- Dave attended the opening day of a Political Art Show held at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery on October 3rd. The exhibition gave young adults the opportunity to share their attitudes on politics through paintings and photography.
